Sexual Solidarity Team

Who's on your team?

Build your personal solidarity team

A worksheet for imagining, and then actually building, the circle that backs you up in your erotic life.

A Sexual Solidarity Team is an ongoing group of beings — living, passed on, or imaginary — who you experience, or actively recruit, as invested in your growth, pleasure exploration, erotic life, healing, eros, and life-force energy: backing you up and holding you accountable over time. Membership isn't limited to people you know, or even to humans — partners, ex-partners, mentors, ancestors, aspirational figures, poets, and non-human beings can all be "on the team."

About 10 minutes, and nothing here is final, it is just an exploration.

This is a reflective, self-guided tool — not therapy, crisis support, or a substitute for professional care. If something heavy comes up while you're working through it, that's worth bringing to a therapist or counselor, not just this worksheet.
Where this idea comes from

The idea traces to Vicki Reynolds, a Vancouver-based supervisor who talked with therapists and frontline workers about having a solidarity team so they could reduce isolation, stay accountable to the people they serve, and remember those who came before them. Dr. Liam "Captain" Snowden — a somatic sex educator and psychological-bodywork trainer — adapted the concept into its explicitly erotic form, describing it in a 2016 interview on the Eros Evolution podcast with Dr. Martha Tara Lee ("Building Your Sexual Solidarity Team," Episode 53).

This worksheet is an original tool built on top of that lineage — not a standardized curriculum, and not affiliated with either source.

Part One · The Wide Net

Who's already invested in your eros?

Nothing here has to be formal, current, or even real. Cast wide — you can always narrow later.

🧭Mentors & guides

Living people who've shaped your relationship to your own sexuality.

💛Partners & ex-partners

Current or past partners who are — or could be — invested in your erotic life.

Ex-partners, once things have settled, are often some of the strongest members. They already know you.

🩺Therapists, coaches & allied professionals

Therapists, coaches, doctors, bodyworkers, or other professionals who support your growth, health, or erotic life.

A sex therapist, pelvic floor PT, somatic coach, physician, or counselor — anyone in a professional helping role.

🤝Friends & community

The friends or chosen family who already show up for you — whether or not sex has ever come up between you.

Who's already an informal cheerleader for your life, sexuality included?

🕊️Ancestors & those who've passed

Who — that has passed — remains, in some way, on your side?

Family, a public figure, an ancestor you never met.

Aspirational & imagined figures

Is there a version of someone — a parent, a friend, even a version of yourself — you wish had shown up differently, that you can recruit as an imagined presence now?

Examples: "the sexually liberated version of my parents," or "the confident version of myself who spoke up."

📖Cultural touchstones

Poets, artists, musicians, or characters whose words or spirit you find yourself channeling.

🌊The more-than-human

Plants, animals, land, water, or elements that feel invested in your life-force.

The ocean, a tree, a particular place.

Part Two · What You'd Ask of Them

Turning the idea into a practice

A team is only real once you know what you'd actually want from it.

Witness, celebrate, adventure, mark the occasion, hold space, share wisdom.

A way of borrowing courage or wisdom in the moment.

Accountability, comfort, support, being called back to yourself.

Examples: a redo of a missed milestone (a first kiss, a school dance), a threshold ritual for a big change, or simply being witnessed trying something new.

Part Three · The Working Core

Who could actually show up?

The wide net is a resource you carry with you always. A working core is the small, living, in-contact group who can gather in real time.

Your Roster

Here's your team!

This is yours to keep, revisit, and grow — nothing here is final, it is just an exploration.
